Fascinated by the art world since her childhood, Francine Mailloux earned a certificate in Creativity (1987) and a Bachelor of Arts (1995) from the Université de Montréal. She also studied at the Saidye Bronfman Center and was actively involved with the Atelier du geste for several years. Her artistic journey also includes both solo and group participation in several painting exhibitions from 1997 to 2004. A self-taught artist in sculpture with a passion for stone sculpture since her first work in 2005, she currently pursues her research in a « friendly and inspiring » place: Les Atelier de la pierre du Québec, in Montréal, Québec.

Self-taught in stone sculpture, I was captivated from my first creation in 2005 and since then, sculpture has remained an exciting challenge for me.

A professional member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels (RAAV), the Conseil de la sculpture du Québec (CSQ) and the Association des sculpteurs sur pierre (ASPM, she has participated in several ASPM and CSQ exhibitions, including the Jardin Moore where her work « Vers l’infini » was featured on the exhibition poster in 2018. She has participated several times in the Nature et Création exhibitions at the Vignoble des Côtes d’Ardoise in Dunham, and in those of the Cercle des artistes peintres et sculpteurs du Québec (CAPSQ) whose jury awarded prizes for her works « Farandole » (2012) and « Boléro » (2014). At the Salon des arts visuels de Brossard in 2015, her work ‘Nés de la mer » won the Award of Excellence. She also exhibited in 2011 at the Wardnasse Gallery in New York and The Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, as well as Temp-Arts in Langres, France.
